History
Who founded the Jackson Hole Farmers Market on the Town Square?+
The market was founded and led by Jim Darwiche, a Lebanese immigrant who organized the committee, pursued approvals, recruited the founding vendors, and made the case for a market in the heart of Jackson.
Why was the Jackson Hole Farmers Market created?+
To give back to Jackson Hole by creating a weekly gathering place that brings people together while supporting local farms, ranches, and food entrepreneurs.
Who were key contributors in the early years?+
Dan Thomasma brought music every Saturday through local bands; John Bickner kept the operations running; and Ken Thomasma gave the market its motto, "Who said tomatoes don't bring people together?"
Visiting the market
Where is the Jackson Hole Farmers Market located?+
On the Jackson Town Square, under the elk antler arches in the heart of Jackson Hole. Our Thursday market runs at the Teton Village Commons on the Westbank.
What time does the Saturday Town Square market run?+
8am – 12pm from June through August. 8am – 1pm in September only.
Do you have two market locations?+
Yes. Saturdays we are on the Town Square in Jackson. Thursdays we are on the Teton Village Commons on the Westbank.
Are pets allowed?+
Please leave your furry friends at home. Pets are not allowed at the market for the safety of vendors, customers and the food on offer.
For vendors
Are you a food-only market?+
Yes. The Jackson Hole Farmers Market is 100% food and drink vendors only.
How do I apply to be a vendor?+
Vendor applications open April 1 and close April 30 each year. Apply through our Apply page. You can submit for the Town Square market, the Teton Village market, or both.
Community programs
How does the 1% Back program work?+
Each Saturday, vendors donate 1% of their daily sales to a featured Jackson area nonprofit. Nonprofits can apply through our Apply page.
